i think you meant that for me rather than Beagle, but thanks! To me the name of the story just isn't as important as its message. i figure that is why i can never remember it. That and my brain is often full so sometimes things leak out.....especially during tax season.

So few Golden Age sci-fi writers are now left. But i still think that it won't be long before their collected works are given the literary attention they have always deserved. Centuries from now Sci-Fi will be the literary tradition that defines Western culture in the 20th. i can never remember the ...

But cannabis has added benefits that cigarettes don't have - such as... Distortion of time and space Wonderfully true audible and visual hallucinations Not sure what you're smoking with this one slowing of reaction times Possibly, but not in every situation. It isn't like the effect of alcohol on r...

Prozac didn't hurt me quite as bad as Doxepin, but to compare the damage they did to my body and spirit would be splitting hairs. Cannabis is the best depression medicine, by far, that i ever used. The only thing that helped me more was exercise and sunlight. Changing to a healthy diet is up there t...

I agree. I suppose because its much easier to outlaw something before millions are doing it, than afterwards. Prohibition is proof of that principle. There is something inherent in our nature that makes many of us want to alter our conscienceness, regularly and repeatedly. Some would call it a weak...

The pot you smoke did not come from "Mother Nature". If you were to smoke hemp you would be getting the more natural amount of THC. But these plants have been altered by human cultivation over time to have a much higher THC content than you would ever find naturally. Same with tobacco. There is now...

Lots of perfectly harmless plants that can cause euphoric or psychedelic effects have laws preventing their use, possession, 'manufacture', etc. Florida is considering passing a law to ban Salvia http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5iL07qPrDwTnT98gXva3EWcl0sxXAD8VBHBHG0 i was only deluding myself when...

Seven supporting stones and “shim stones” doesn’t sound very natural to me. That is what got me excited about the article in the first place, but when Beagle posted the link with a pic it did not appear to be man made. Hopefully, the particular stone the diver claimed was leveled with shim stones i...

'Drugs' are the poisons made by the likes of Dow, Eli Lilly, Merck and others. The substances termed 'drugs' by the law are often plants that grow in the ground without anyone's help.

i trust Mother Nature alot more than a for profit company.

i remember some years back a guy losing a law suit because a stripper whacked him in the face with her silicone megaliths and broke his jaw. Somehow i think law suits like that actually have more merit than that POS idiot of a judge that sued the dry cleaner for $50million for 'losing' a pair of pan...

What do you mean by "they would have us believe". If you mean religion, they are operating on the same limited perception as everyone else. They don't have any hidden secrets to reveal to us. By 'they' i actually meant the point of view of the mythical 'average person'. Of course religion is a part...
