Re: Gobekli tepe Receives World Heritage Status

I don't know anything about the guides at Gobekli tepe, but "we don't know" is perfectly acceptable when that is the most honest answer. And sometimes it is the most honest answer. At least where prehistory is concerned, there will always be far more that we don't know then we do know. So "we don't ...

Re: More Adena monoliths

Sometimes interesting discussions have taken place on this board. And I don't wish to be too judgemental, because I can fly off the handle as easily as the next guy, but, that said, who in their right mind would want to read the comments that have ensued as a result of a couple of people going at it...

Gobekli tepe Receives World Heritage Status

As of 7/1/18, UNESCO has added Gobekli tepe to the World Heritage list. In reading this, I also learned for the first time that the Turkish government, in its effort to develop the site as a tourist destination, damaged the site to some degree. https://www.dailygrail.com/2018/07/gobekli-tepe-receive...

Re: More seafaring hominids

I agree that last paragraph is the most important. And science, after all, is supposed to be self correcting. And while the dates are far younger then the dates highlighted here, this realization that sea faring abilities were present far earlier then earlier consensus opinion, made it easier to not...

"I'm fascinated by that time honored debate to some extent, but my focus has always been on the origin of this tradition among the hierarchies of angels. Who was the first angel, or archangel perhaps, to dance upon the head of a pin? And why I wonder, when there are far broader dance floor surfaces...

Re: Solar alignments in ancient Egypt

Yet again you are showing your ignorance , on more than one level . You have been told often enough . Here goes yet again. "The component henge in Stonehenge probably comes from Old English “hencg “ = hinge or hencen =hang or gallows . " Note ,that it is not henge . "The term Henge was first used b...

Red Star in the Night Sky

Alien star grazed our solar system 70,000 years ago sending comets hurtling towards the sun - and our ancestors may have seen it in the night sky Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-5535255/An-alien-star-grazed-solar-70-000-years-ago.html#ixzz5Afe9ftOl https://arxiv.org/pdf/180...

Re: Comet Impact Biomass Fires

Yes tiompan, I can imagine what discussing this with you is like. You are grasping at straws in your effort to preserve your denial that asteroid an comet impacts were a significant part of the human environment. Even if the Edinburgh analysis of Gobekli Tepe falls through, which in the opinion of ...

Re: Problematic Discoveries

I do not need to argue or debate my knowledge or my opinions, as just described, with anyone. Particularly with individuals who are only looking to argue for the sake of argumentation. Neither do I . One man's argumentation is another's debates or discussion .But what about when someone agrees with...

I have 60 years experience finding, handling and understanding artifacts, manuports, and geofacts from southern New England. I'm quite secure in my own knowledge, quite secure in my own opinions, and quite clear about what I can know on these subjects with a degree of certainty, as well as degrees o...
