The Old World is a reference to those parts of Earth known to Europeans before the voyages of Christopher Columbus; it includes Europe, Asia and Africa.

They were not alone.

But stone does not know where it comes from.
Something is wrong here. War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption, and the Ice Capades. Something is definitely wrong. This is not good work. If this is the best God can do, I am not impressed.

Inca stone work, like this at Cuzco, is amazing.

They did tend to use what was available locally, either limestone ( not too hard ) to granite ( damned hard.)

Beats me how they did it.

There is no other word for it and yet further evidence, if evidence is required that humans do not require JCBs, laser cuting machinery much less Ipods and mobile phones to create something remarkable.

The question is not one of "if" but of "how."

And also "how long?"
